Hey, I’m Melinda!

I’m so glad you’re here! I cannot tell you how excited I am to see the vision of Alabama Nail Co. come to life.

While I am so looking forward to us to being able to get to know one another face-to-face, I thought it would be a pertinent time for me to introduce myself, share some of my background, and elaborate on what it means to me to see this salon become a reality.

About Me

As a fierce female entrepreneur, I am no stranger to starting businesses from the ground up!

With every day that I have spent on this entrepreneurial journey so far (let’s be real, I’m just getting started over here!) I have learned how to improve operations for my employees, my customers, clients, and myself.

After running in corporate circles helping to run a half-a-billion-dollar business for about a decade, I decided to launch my first ever six-figure entrepreneurial investment and opened the doors of Waxing the City right here in Dothan, Alabama.

That business made it up into the top 10 ranks out of 131 Waxing the City studios across the United States thanks to the amazing team I had built, and my deep passion for serving the community of Dothan that I love so dearly.

My entrepreneurial spirit then led me to create industry disruptors in the financial, marketing and esthetics industry. I am not here to run a business that falls within the status quo.

It’s been a wild ride and I am so, so looking forward to continuing onward into the next step as we prepare to open the doors of Alabama Nail Co.

Our premium pricing allows us to offer fair wages, health and dental insurance coverage, 401k, and additional benefits. The salon industry is led by amazing women who deserve to have a voice and growth opportunities.

I am fiercely passionate about the salon industry, and given that it is predominantly women in the field, it fuels my passion even further to ensure that my employees are compensated fairly and well cared for.

Because at the end of the day, when team members are excited to come to work, and feel respected and cared for - they provide the elevated experience that you, my dearest clients, so deserve.

From the booking process, to that first ‘hello’ as you walk through the door, everything has been designed with excellence. Because I value your time, schedule and trust.
